Fundraising events
Diabetes Australia – Vic runs a number of special fundraising events through the year to help raise valuable funds that support the organisation’s work in vital diabetes awareness, education, research and advocacy programs. There are many ways to get involved in these events as a fundraiser or volunteer.
Events in 2009 included:
Buzz Day – 18 September 2009
The Great Victorian Bike Ride – 28 November to 6 December 2009
Please get involved and help support Diabetes Australia – Vic!
Organise your own Community Fundraising Event
Each year, many individuals and groups are inspired to make a difference by organising an activity or an event in their local community to raise money to support us.
Community fundraising is an enjoyable and rewarding way of raising money for a worthwhile cause together with friends, family and your community. It is also a great way to show your support for friends or loved ones affected by diabetes.
Please take the time to read over our Community Fundraising Guide before putting forward your proposal. If you require further assistance please contact the Fundraising Team on 1300 136 588 or email.
Purchase an Entertainment Book
Help support us by purchasing an Entertainment Book. The 2009/2010 book is now available and contains hundreds of two-for-one and 25% off vouchers to save you money at restaurants, attractions and entertainment venues. A total of $13 from each book sold supports diabetes education and research.
The Entertainment Book is a great way to save you money and also makes an excellent gift for birthdays, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Christmas and anniversaries.
