Recipe of the month
Our recipe of the month is recommended by our dietitians using Diabetes Australia’s own recipe guidelines. These recipes are not only suitable for people with diabetes but can be enjoyed by all people.
Bircher Muesli
1 green apple, grated
1 cup so good regular soymilk 
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 1/2 cups sanitarium rolled oats
1/2 cup sanitarium slivered almonds
1/2 cup sanitarium sultanas
1 cup vanilla soy yoghurt
200g blueberries
1. Combine the apple, So Good and maple syrup in a large bowl
2. Stir in the oats. Cover and soak overnight in the fridge.
3. Preheat the oven to 170C (325F/Gas 3).
4. Spread the almonds evenly on a baking tray and toast for 5-8 minutes, or until golden.
5. Before serving, stir the sultanas and toasted almonds into the oat mixture
6. Drizzle with vanilla soy yoghurt and serve with blueberries.
