Gwen Scott Diabetes Professional Development Grants Program

The program provides financial support to Victorian health professionals who are members of Diabetes Australia – Vic to further their knowledge and understanding of diabetes, management strategies or health promotion, while developing useful networks with other health professionals.

DA–Vic established the Gwen Scott Grants Program in 2006 as part of our commitment to support Victorian health professionals who work with people with diabetes and towards prevention. The grants are open to DA–Vic health professional members of all levels of training and experience, including those new to the diabetes community.

The amount dedicated to the program is at the discretion of DA–Vic’s Board of Directors. The amount per grant and number of grants will depend on the applications received. If the applications received are of insufficient quality or for inappropriate activities as determined by the selection panel, the total available amount will not be distributed.

As the Gwen Scott Diabetes Professional Development Grants Program award process is competitive, the primary selection criterion is the merit of the individual proposal.

The Gwen Scott grant is now closed for 2015.  To be kept up to date with the awarding of 2015 grants and to be amongst the first to hear about the opening of 2016 applications become a Health Professional Member of DA–Vic.
