Type 2 diabetes - Programs and Services

We provide a range of programs and services for people with type 2 diabetes, their carers and family members.

Our advocacy coordinator provides information, support and advocacy for issues affecting people with diabetes or their carers and helps take action on the concerns and suggestions for improvement in diabetes care.


Type 2 diabetes information session 2013

The Type 2 diabetes information session ‘Getting Started’ is a  program for people with type 2 diabetes who are newly diagnosed or have not had diabetes education in the past. Programs are run by our Diabetes Educator and Dietitian, who will provide you with valuable information to manage your diabetes. 

Dates for 2013

This program has been revised and will be delivered over 5.5 hours. Participants are required to bring a cut lunch for day sessions. Sandwiches will be provided for evening sessions.

Cost: $10 members and $15 for non-members. Spaces limited to 12 people only.

Supermarket tours 2013

We organise supermarket tours in metropolitan and regional areas to help make shopping for healthy food easier.
