Appointing a Proxy
A member entitled to attend and vote but unable to attend the AGM may appoint a proxy to attend and vote in their stead. The proxy need not be a member of Diabetes Victoria, but should be a natural person over the age of 18 years. Proxy forms must be completed online here, not less than 48 hours before the scheduled time of the Annual General Meeting and the proxy must separately register to attend the meeting (via the link above).
Speaking and Voting at the Meeting
The 2021 Diabetes Victoria AGM will be held via the Zoom webinar platform. Members will be able to vote via a pop-up poll, as well as make written comments or request to speak via the Zoom Q&A function. The Q&A function will be visible to all attendees upon joining the meeting and the use of it and other webinar functions will be explained at the time of the meeting.
Instructions for how to vote via a Zoom poll will be given directly before and during the meeting. A Zoom report will later be accessed to confirm the vote count.
While all webinar attendees will be unable to be seen or heard upon entering the meeting, any member who wishes to speak will be allowed to speak upon request (such a request can be made via the Q&A function).
The Q&A function can also be used to make comments or ask questions throughout the meeting. Attendees will only be offered to speak or be seen if it is explicitly requested.
Please note that the meeting will be recorded.
