Our Multilingual Infoline has a new number!


Our new Multilingual Infoline, 1300 801 164 connects callers with the help of an interpreter (in over 170 different languages) to services and information on diabetes prevention, support and management.

This service is free and easy to use. You can speak with a Diabetes Educator and/or Dietitian with the help of an interpreter.

Translated Pictorial Guides

The pictorial guides target individuals who may have difficulty reading and understanding large amounts of complex written information. The pictures convey messages of healthy eating, exercise, managing diabetes and foot care in simple language that is easy to understand.

Healthy eating clip

Healthy eating can make you feel happier and healthier. It is about finding a balance and knowing which foods you should eat more of every day, and the foods that are best to eat sometimes.
The Healthy eating clip explores healthy eating messages, including:

  • different food groups
  • recommendations for each food group, including daily intake
  • portion sizes
  • healthy cooking methods
  • and sample meal plans


Healthy eating is a ten minute clip, available in English, Italian, Greek, Vietnamese, Chinese and Arabic, and for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. It is suitable for all adults and teenagers, including people with diabetes and those wanting to lose weight.
