For every town, for every place in this country, we have an original name, and it's important to use them as a celebration and to recognise the history and the connection of First People to country Rachael McPhail.

In 2022, Diabetes Victoria has consulted with the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation and has received their endorsement regarding the correct use of the Traditional Place Names throughout our current resources and addresses.

Traditional place names and reference of Traditional Countries are used to pay respect to the different Traditional Countries, their community, and Elders.

Diabetes Victoria pays respect to the Country (e.g. Wurundjeri) and language (e.g. Woi Wurrung).
