Description
- Full-time permanent position. Hybrid working model. Carlton and WFH.
- $37.35p/h – $40.05p/h + 12% super + Charity salary packaging tax benefits.
- SCHADS Award Level 3, Pay Point 1- 4 (depending on experience).
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and key stakeholders, including VACCHO and ACCHOs.
- Provide cultural advice to ensure programs and materials are appropriate and respectful.
- Deliver community awareness and education programs focused on diabetes prevention, management, and support.
- Represent Diabetes Victoria on the NDSS Aboriginal Working Group.
- Support communication activities, including contributions to the Wominjeka newsletter
- Complete administrative tasks, reporting, and database management.
Skills and Experience
- A qualification in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care, or a health or welfare-related discipline.
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and health workforces.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong, respectful partnerships with key stakeholders.
- An understanding of health promotion and health literacy principles.
- A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel across Victoria.
