Personalised antioxidant treatment for type 2 diabetes

The Australian Catholic University (ACU) are conducting a study about type 2 diabetes and nutrition.

Aim of the study:

This study is investigating the effects of personalised antioxidant supplementation on glycaemic control in people with type 2 diabetes. This trial is important as it may identify a simple and accessible nutritional intervention that can improve health outcomes in people with type 2 diabetes. 

To take part in this study, you must:

  • Be aged between 35 and 75 years
  • Have a confirmed type 2 diabetes diagnosis
  • Not be taking insulin
  • Have an HbA1c ≥ 6.5%

Requirements:

Participation in this study involves 9 laboratory visits lasting between 30 minutes and 2 hours. During these visits, participants will undergo body composition scanning, blood sampling, and supervised exercise.
