Savers named Medium Retailer of the Year

“We are always proud of our 28-year partnership with Savers, and this award win highlights what we have known for decades – Savers is an innovative, inclusive, and purpose-driven organisation,” says Diabetes Victoria CEO Glen Noonan.

The Medium Retailer of the Year Award recognises a business that has shown resilience and advancement in uncertain circumstances. It is awarded to an enterprise that has become a sought-after employer and trusted brand in the retail market.

Savers delivers unparalleled customer experiences while upholding sustainable and inclusive business practices. The award recognises that Savers values the welfare of their workforce and fosters an environment where both employees and patrons foster lasting connections and loyalty.

Diabetes Victoria and Savers teamed up in 1997 and have maintained a partnership for almost three decades.

Through this partnership, Savers accepts donations of pre-loved clothing and household items on behalf of Diabetes Victoria and pays the charity for the goods, providing essential income for diabetes research and programs.

“Innovative solutions are essential to secure ongoing funding for diabetes research,” says Mr Noonan.

“Savers has been a leader in this space since we established our social enterprise venture almost 30 years ago. We applaud their continued commitment to supporting the diabetes community.”

The collaboration also promotes environmental sustainability by reducing waste and supporting a circular economy.

To support this initiative, you can book a collection (selected postcodes in Victoria) or donate at one of six locations. Find out more here.
