Guardian System 4 Transmitter to be Discontinued
The Guardian System (4) Transmitter will no longer be available through the NDSS from Tuesday 1 September 2026.
What this means for users
If you currently use the Guardian System (4) Transmitter with the Guardian app, you will need to change to a different CGM system available through the NDSS.
Guardian Sensor (4) will only be approved for use as part of the MiniMed 780G insulin pump system using Guardian Link (4). It will no longer be approved for standalone use with the Guardian app.
Medtronic will provide support for eligible affected users. This will include no-cost sensor supply and continued access to replacement transmitters during the product discontinuation period.

- Speak with your diabetes healthcare professional. They can help you understand your options and support you in choosing a different CGM.
- Take the time to explore your options and make any necessary arrangements. This will help to support a smooth transition before 1 September 2026.
