mylife App Closure in Australia

Why Is the mylife App Closing?

So why the change? Ypsomed announced to discontinue the mylife App, to create room for a seamless and more integrated user experience. The aim is to achieve better integration, automated insulin delivery (AID) and a better overall user experience.

Ypsomed’s digital future is centred around the myLoop platform, powered by CamAPS FX. And there’s one more change coming: mylife Cloud users who use the cloud for therapy data management and sharing will soon be moving to Glooko, a platform that makes it even easier to manage data.

What Support Will Be Available?

As the mylife App approaches its retirement, you won’t be left without support. You’ll still have access to your historical data and can export your information before the app is phased out.

Ypsomed’s customer service and healthcare professional networks are on hand to help guide you through the transition. If you have an older YpsoPump model that isn’t compatible with the latest updates, you might be eligible for support to transition to the YpsoPump 1.5x platform.

Key Impacts and Risks

It’s important to note that if you’re an MDI (Multiple Daily Injection) user who depends on the mylife App’s flexible bolus calculator, there’s currently no direct replacement from Ypsomed. You may need to seek a new bolus calculator solution to support your diabetes management.

Options for MDI Users

If you use MDI and rely on bolus calculations, here are some next steps and alternatives:

  • Consult your diabetes care team for personalised recommendations and help creating a transition plan.
  • Important Information: MyLife does not offer a direct replacement for their flexible bolus calculator for MDI users.
