Study Overview

Baricitinib is a medication currently used to treat adults with rheumatoid arthritis, atopic dermatitis and alopecia areata. In 2024, Australian researchers showed that baricitinib may help maintain the body’s ability to make and use some of its own insulin in newly diagnosed type 1 diabetes. The purpose of this study is to learn more about baricitinib in newly diagnosed type 1 diabetes.
