Driving and diabetes: A survey of Australian drivers

Diabetes can affect vision, nerve function, and cognitive ability, which may make driving more difficult and increase safety risks. However, little is known about the challenges that drivers with diabetes face in their everyday driving.

Study Overview

This national online survey, conducted by researchers at Queensland University of Technology, explores the driving experiences of people living with diabetes.

The study aims to understand better the driving challenges faced by this population and to inform future evidence-based recommendations. The survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete, and participation is voluntary and anonymous.
