ACBRD T2D Rural study
About this study
The aim of this study is to better understand what people with type 2 diabetes living in rural communities think about taking part in research. Some of the questions, we would like to answer are:

How would people with type 2 diabetes living in rural communities like to hear about research studies?

What motivates people living in rural communities to take part in diabetes research?
-
What are the barriers for people living in rural communities to take part in diabetes research?
-
What could help to assist more people living in rural communities to take part in diabetes research?
Who can participate?
You are eligible to participate if you are an individual:
-
Living with type 2 diabetes.
-
Aged 18 years old and above.
-
Who can participate in English language.
-
Living in and accessing diabetes treatment in rural Australia.
What will I have to do?
If you choose to take part in this study, you will be asked to:
1. Answer a few questions about you to help us describe our study participants in general terms e.g. gender, average age, state/territory that you live in.
2. Take part in an interview (by telephone or video call– whatever you prefer) which will be organised on a day and time that suits you. In the interview, you will have the chance to discuss your thoughts about taking part in diabetes research.
