Peer Support
-
Type 1 peer support program
The Diabetes Victoria peer support groups provide an opportunity for people to meet others in their local community that might be experiencing similar things and connect with their local diabetes network.
-
Type 2 peer support program
Research has shown that members of support groups, such as the diabetes peer support groups, are more confident about their diabetes, are less depressed and less stressed – in part because they have the knowledge to better manage their diabetes.
-
Mixed peer support program
Diabetes Victoria mixed peer support programs across Victoria.
