Diabetes Doesn’t Rest

Since 1953, Diabetes Victoria has been the leading peak body dedicated to reducing the impact of all types of diabetes on people, families, communities and health systems across Victoria. Through advocacy, research partnerships, programs and community services, we work to improve health outcomes for the 1.3 million Victorians affected by diabetes.

Our Community Matters

The community’s voices are at the heart of these election priorities. We gathered feedback through surveys, conversations with our Community Advisory Committee, and engagement at community events, hearing directly from people about what matters most to them. This input has guided our focus and ensured our priorities reflect the issues and lived experiences of the communities we serve.

2026 Election Priorities

For too long, diabetes has not been taken seriously, but diabetes doesn’t rest.
