ABOUT THE EVENT

Diabetes Victoria Member Family Fun Day 2025 is a non-clinical event run for kids and teens members of Diabetes Victoria. This event will include a visit to Luna Park. There will be activities in The Pavillion, such as colouring in and facepainting, and attendees are able to explore Luna Park and go on rides at their own leisure during the event (9am – 12pm). Noting the official event and access to the Pavillion is until 11am.

Registrations are essential as spaces are limited. You must register for this event to be eligible to attend. Adult supervision is always required for under 18s. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire duration of the event. Diabetes Victoria is not responsible for the supervision of children attending this event.

This event will be held mainly outdoors; the Pavilion provides some cover. Attendees will be able to interact with each other during the event.  Attendees are encouraged to follow the latest health guidelines.

Attendees must follow the instructions of Diabetes Victoria staff and venue staff during the event.

By registering for the Diabetes Victoria Member Family Fun Day 2025, you acknowledge and consent to the following:

  • As the legal parent or guardian, I grant permission for my child(ren)/ward(s) to fully participate in all activities associated with the event.
  • I confirm that I have read and understood the disclaimer and waiver in its entirety.

PRIVACY

Event bookings will be managed by Diabetes Victoria in accordance with our privacy policy: diabetesvic.org.au/privacy-policy

Diabetes Victoria may use software including Instagram, Facebook and Google Analytics to collect data about your interaction with our Member Family Fun Day. This information helps us understand general user trends and improve our events and user experience.

PHOTO, VIDEO AND VOICE DISCLAMER

Attendance (including virtual attendance) at Diabetes Victoria’s programs, events or public spaces constitutes consent to be photographed for use in print and/or electronic publicity for Diabetes Victoria. Photos, images and videos submitted by users for online contests may also be used by the Diabetes Victoria for promotional purposes. To ensure the privacy of individuals and children, images will not be identified using full names or personal identifying information without written approval from the photographed subject, parent or legal guardian.

If you do not want us to use a photo or video of you or your child, please notify the Diabetes Victoria administrator in writing and submit your request to membership@diabetesvic.org.au, 10 business days prior to the program or event.

SOCIAL MEDIA DISCLAIMER

Diabetes Victoria values the opportunity to engage and connect with our audience and the public via social media. We use websites, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn to communicate our work. We may repost or reshare content provided to us by individuals via social media tags, for the purposes of engaging with our social media audience and to facilitate our online community.  

While we encourage interaction via social media tags during the Member Family Fun Day 2025 event and will contact individuals to obtain permission prior to resharing their posts, we are aware that some content that is posted during this event may include video clips or images of individuals’ children and young people under 18 years of age, which we consider as sensitive content. To protect an individual’s privacy and the privacy of others, personal information (including contact details) should not be posted in any social media interaction. Diabetes Victoria will remove or edit any posts or comment on our social media pages that contains sensitive personal information. Please refer to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and LinkedIn’s privacy policies on their websites for more information.

LIABILITY & NON-ENDORSEMENT DISCLAIMER

Participation in this event is voluntary. As a carer or guardian of a person under the age of 18 years old, any participation for both you and a child in this event is at your sole and exclusive risk. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein, to the fullest extent allowed by law, you agree to waive, discharge and release Diabetes Victoria from all liability and indemnify Diabetes Victoria, its organisers, hosts, volunteers, partners and employees, from all liability connected with this event. As we are utilising third parties for this event, we do not assume responsibility for the content, actions or inactions of third parties during and/or after the event.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Diabetes Victoria does not endorse third-party products, services, offers or any other information provided by third parties. You must undertake your own inquiries to determine the accuracy and relevance of any products, services, offers or other information provided by third parties. Diabetes Victoria is not liable for any representations made by such third parties in relation to their programs, services, member benefits and offers, or their provision of such items.
