Libre 3 Plus soon to be available via NDSS subsidy

It can also be paired with select automated insulin delivery (AID) systems.

The world’s smallest CGM sensor is the same size as a $2 coin and tracks your glucose levels in real-time.

IMPORTANT: Libre 3 Plus will not be compatible with the currently available FreeStyle LibreLink app.

If you do not have a smartphone that is compatible with the new Libre app, or wish to use a reader, the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor will remain available on the NDSS to use with FreeStyle LibreLink app or FreeStyle Libre 2 reader.

How to upgrade to Libre 3 Plus

Book an in-person or telehealth appointment with your healthcare professional.

  • Whether you are accessing subsidised CGM for the first time or upgrading from another CGM (including Libre 2 Plus), your healthcare professional will need to submit a form to the NDSS on your behalf.
  • The NDSS will notify you once your upgraded access has been approved.
  • Order and collect your subsidised sensors from your local NDSS Access Point (usually a pharmacy). You can order up to 3 months’ supply (6 sensors) each time. Annual limits apply.

Please note: Libre 3 Plus sensors are only available via the NDSS subsidy and cannot be purchased from libre.com.au
